THE EDGE: A Beyond Words Anthology (24-Hour Decision) - Poetry, Flash, Short Stories

Some edges are visible: a cliff, a border, a locked door, the final step before an abyss.

Others exist within us. The edge of love. The edge of patience. The edge of reason. The fragile boundary between who we are and who the world expects us to be.

What happens when we reach it? Do we step forward, retreat, fall, or discover that the edge was never where we thought it was?

Beyond Words Press invites writers to explore THE EDGE in all its forms: literal and metaphorical, intimate and universal, terrifying and exhilarating. Take us to the brink of something. Make us question what lies beyond it. Or show us what happens when there is no going back. We are looking for writing that takes risks. Work that surprises, unsettles, moves, provokes, and stays with the reader long after the final line.

Poetry. Flash fiction. Short stories. Creative nonfiction.

All genres, styles, and perspectives are welcome. The edge can be a place, a person, a decision, a state of mind... We are interested not merely in reaching the edge, but in what it reveals.
